Well....I think you should be at least 25-30 years old to fully understand what's going on that game. How old are you?
Then of course everyone has his taste, but the idea of that game is very clever and touching too.

From how you write I think you are a young guy that hate feelings and all that emotional stuff (I could be wrong, sorry in that case)....when you get older you'll start to become weaker to those stuff, i can guarantee to you.

It's a rather limited use rule, so it's kind of notorious about people not knowing about it. I'm guessing they didn't code it into the game.
