Turns out newbies do let you walk right up to them... Luckily I'm not a dickhead.
Probably should be in big letters in the great newbie guide Sevenless wrote, don't let this happen.

Explain using actual reasons why you think that. Bearing in mind that I already said IP gain would not be possible without a target.

The only reason I can think of is PvE, but surely you could make animals start with some defenses up when they are aggro'd.

up 24/7 in case someone rolled up on you... the

you'd pay for 10 accounts just to camp outside you base? free accounts? you'd have 35 bot accounts. sure the low UA and all that...but even me who likes making bots. would not wanna go throught the coding to make such bots. and at that I would not wanna make the coding that runs 10 bots off the same computer. maybe FAR down the road some no lifer might make something like that.

but it would be so easy to stop person from making so many bots like that no coder would even wanna do it.

this is why banok's idea is bad, really. either a cooldown or one block up automatically when starting combat is the solution, imo.

I just wanted to clarify here that you can do this perfectly fine, since they are bots, they don't need graphical elements rendered to help them traverse the game.

They could just send and receive packets for all you want to.

Yes its fine, but it's still a mess. have you looked how J&L code their game? I make bots that sit read the graphic I don't wanna go anywhere near their code ever again.

cooldown is risky, since if J&L put a MC combat move or someone with 2000str rolls up. they can still just punt you. after 1 sec and the defencer will only get to put up one defence skill..likly green. and then Hay maker for 400dmg and you cry.
a 4 sided defense would be ok~

but I'd rather see 4 blocks one for each defence.
the block can be given to both players or the player who was engaged (attacked)
the block don't have a timer, until you make an attack or Utility move. defence moves will not put a timer on.

We should be giving the Defending players/ running players a semi handicap. Let be honest. you're being a fucking jerk.

Does this open abuse? not really. it's just more of a pain in the neck to start a fight.

Okay first I just want to point out the irony that you criticise me for not using proper punctuation, and you post like this :lol:

Secondly your bot army scenario is pretty far fetched considering before it was "obviously retarded idea" or whatever. plus how does my idea change this elaborate scenario, it doesn't change your ability to put autoaggrobots outside a cave, it only means I can put defenses up before I go out of cave and so makes your scenario at least counterable with scouting. also you can shoot a bow outside of aggro range, no?

if you spot someone on minimap well before they are in aggro range currently. you have plenty of time to put up defenses when you hear the white player alarm go off. durations arent really long enough to give aggressor any advantage as far as I can predict, however currently agressor for sure has more advantage.
