All in all i don't think its a bad idea i just wish i could find ANY rare curios at all cause i haven't found pearls, flotsams, bluebells, you name it i haven't found it.

How did you come to the conclusion that it's a character trait if you haven't found any? You'd have to find a lot of them on each of your characters before being able to draw conclusions...

don't know if it was pure random luck on my side, but when I found my woodshaving, I was just exploring, and then I stopped to build a crate to carry some stuff, and while making the planks, the shaving appeared. And it was a lot of time after I crafted anything. My first bolete I found when hunting a boar, after I spent some hours only crafting.

SO, I think this works this way: want a foregeable fate curio? Go craft for hours, hunt, do anything else that's not foraging/wandering arround the world.
Want a wondorous woodshaving? Spend some hours walking over the world, randomly chop a tree and make some planks from it... you may find something!

Want a pearl? don't keep spam-boiling! Go do anything else, and boil some mussels just to eat to recover energy...

At first I thought this Fate system is a nice thing because of all the bots and stuff but it's too harmful to normal gameplay. I went on a long foraging trip (2-3 hours) in one direction yesterday and I didn't find a single notable curiosity... there's almost no point of going on curio foraging trips anymore, basically.

The point is getting curios notable or otherwise as well as chantreles blueberries nettles the ocasional animal etc.

Yes of course, but even if you don't go "exclusively looking for curios", the conditions to stumble upon a notable curiosity seem too harsh. I haven't seen anything notable in quite a while really...

So the bottom line is this: I would perhaps not even mind a more reliable output of those curiosities, or whatever, but what I do mind is the fact that anything as simple as a ratio of such curiosities per map units covered by mindless walking will serve to reinstitute vaccuum bots (and those might already be a thing for all I know), and that is simply not kosher.

Feel free to discuss in terms of solutions.
