Yay! .......... :( ....... You are going to have to take one tonight V ....... :)

Meanwhile, Em is still under the impression she has this wagon driving sorted .... :P

We stopped off and fenced in the animals to gather some supplies, Em headed off to the swamp for foraging and I headed into a nearby cave for some bats, I managed to get two but lost my leather armour in doing so, still have my bat cape though so all is not lost. :)

Image

Vera catches up with us but doesn't seem interested in taking over cow duties ..... :(

Image

To be fair my cow was behaving much better, she only escaped 7 times ... I think she is starting to like me .... :D

We passed a few settlements this time, we rode up to the walls to say 'hi', but no-one was active in any of them, though one was in the process of making the gate for their brickwall and another had their outer pali gates open.

Next stop ... the mountains. It was tough going for poor Em with the wagon but Vera and I were happy, enjoying the awesome views, the best shot I took, with bad cam, is missing, so it looks like I forgot to save it ... ... but here are some others .....

It is probably going to take us awhile to find somewhere to settle, I am certain we passed the same swamp 3 times ... ... though Em keeps insisting it was a different area ... :P

In case you would all like to sing along with us, here are the lyrics to our wagon song;

Three wheels on my wagon,
And I’m still rolling along
The hearthlings are chasing me
Arrows fly, right on by
But I’m singing a happy song

I’m singing a higgity, haggity, hoggety, high
Pioneers, they never say die
A mile up the road there’s a hidden cave
And we can watch those warriors
Go galloping by

SPOKEN: “Amanda, they’re catching up to us!”
“Get back in the wagon woman!”

Two wheels on my wagon,
And I’m still rolling along
Them bearcapes are after me
Flaming spears, burn my ears
But I’m singing a happy song

SPOKEN: “Duh, Em? Are you sure this is the right road?”
“Will you hush up? You and your maps!”

One wheel on my wagon,
And I’m still rolling along
Them dhelms after me
I’m all in flames, at the reins
But I’m singing a happy song

SPOKEN: “Vera? Should I get the bag of beads and trinkets?”
“Woman, I know what I’m doing!”

No wheels on my wagon,
So I’m not rolling along
The forces of Dis captured me
They look mad, things look bad
But I’m singing a happy song

SPOKEN: “C’mon all you hearthlings sing along with me!”

Higgity, haggity hoggety, high
Pioneers, they never say die… :D

Just as a disclaimer Emerald had NO involvement in the lyrics to said song mentioned above by Amanda!

And driving is stressful! i'll look after the cow (who should really be named) and you or V can drive, then we can see how good your direction skills are after the first day when you were getting completely lost looking for the cow in directions we never came from lol

It is nice to rest your weary bones from time to time. It is nice to lay down your burdens. It is nice to have a seat.

Well checked on wagon and cows. I can see someone forgot to separate the bull and we are likely to have another moody mother. Shes already emptied the trough. How many ropes you have Amanda? :D

Im afraid todays trip was more this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjdRgBAY278

But it could have been this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHp9oZPqs8E

Fleeing the Amanda tyrany Miss Betsy and her lonely calf fled on a desperate search for greener pastures. Desperate Ladies hounded them finally catching in a showdown between boars and badgers. And once again order was restored to the Hearthlands.
