Again, Im fine with the new world-size. For now. And the only reason - I was on my day-off at Thr and Fri, so I was building my brickwall on week-end. But I don't really think newbies will be lucky. I could tell you my story of w8 -I saw a game on youtube - tried it in - and understand nothing. So I look some more videos, read the forum and saw http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=40714. I read it from A to Z and even than I played for a month with opened guide and wiki (that was 90% outdated). And funny thing - most of the survival advices can be simplified to one statement - avoid the strangers... And that advice was really helpful - I didn't loose any of my chars at w8. And I did have like a dozen of live heighbours. And we did communicate. And that was like an 8 hour of walking from starting zone (it was a third my base). And what now?
How could I avoid stranger? Build a wall? Ok, I built it, now what? Sit at your base? Very funny gameplay.. Go out there? I can't - cause there are 20 hearthlings in one single map-grid... Should I trust them? Ok, Im dead, and now what?
