I would side with bearcub on this, you guys lack common sense. building an oven for the sake of building one is just lazy and to disregard his opinion about the cat gold is what egotistical pricks do. I listen to my people about their opinions on what matters and take into consideration and expect the same from them, its the only way to function as a group.

From what i see here he put effort into grinding and wanted the other 4 to put some effort in so it didnt look like hes wasting his time being around you. Frankly you'll most likely get wiped off the map anyways, but you have shown your colours that you lose your temper and murder your team mates and people should stay clear.

I find both parties a bit childish.

Bearcub is badgering them fairly hard about stuff, they are being unreasonable and dumb.

But catgold a nice paving or curio? You guys make me laugh my ass off as it is.
A murder over catgold, priceless ='D

Still though, we're not massive Q grinders, but we get a better Q if we can! I mean, what's the point in NOT doing it?
If Bearcup wants to research something as common as catgold, sheesh, let him do it. I think he's wasting his time a bit too (some circumstances not taken in this) with that curio but oh well, if he wants to!
Nope, better kill him over some forgettable crud. Some great leadership and community managing you guys do x'D

Tbh, I feel sorry for everyone involved and especially for Lach, who just tried to bring some friends together and is now stuck in the middle of this mess ... :(

I read everything, twice, and I still can't see any reason that justifies killing Bearcub, it is clear he got frustrated but even with my laid back approach to the game I would get frustrated if we had better mats for builds and they weren't used, it doesn't make any logical sense. I'm not convinced he was 'stealing' things, ofc, I don't know for sure not being involved but it seems a bit convenient to use this excuse after the event and maybe Bearcub just figured he was entitled to a couple of bits to move on with after investing his time there.

Whatever the truth is, your group Cyd, does come out of it looking bad - you had already killed the guy, you should have just stuck with your original line of both having made mistakes and you having acted in the heat of the moment and with regret.

I hope you can all move on and all learn some patience and tolerance.

If the rules aren't clear and if there's no attempt at communication to clarify the issues, the fault is the leader's. Managing your villagers' needs is your responsibility. So in my opinion you were wrong even before the low blow of posting private skype logs and deciding to kill your kith. As for the drama, do remember

Kaios wrote:You're both pretty dumb, what's the big deal about taking some time to build a better oven? You all get better food which is more important than you seem to realize considering the % appetite factor (eating less food for more gains is always good, always use a table, etc.)

And then the argument about the cat gold is pretty funny and in that case you were correct, it is a completely trash curio and you really only need one at a time since it takes so long you don't need to store them up as if you're never going to mine again.

I think you both could have learned things from each other and improved if your egos weren't in the way.

quoted for truth. no reason not to raise quality, and not ONLY does cat gold suck, its easy to get. my village only has one miner, and we have an ever growing stockpile of the crap, we'd use it for paving, but i checked and feldspar, schist and limestone look better. hell if you want some gold looking paving use schist, its great.

the catgold grave was priceless though. XD

far as i can see nothing justifies murder, unless you can somehow prove he was stealing shit and planning to take off with it. i wouldnt blame ya in that case.

this gets me thinkin though, me and my pals argue occasionally over some stuff like this, placement of hearthfires or tables ect ect. i could never imagine us actually killing others over it though.... are we saints among demons or something?

Just prove that he was trying to steal something of value. Then i might side against bearcub but i mean your skype records make you guys seam like jerks and you did kill him after all so i mean what evidence is there that he wasn't justified in everything he did, And even if you can prove he was planning to steal, you still killed him over cat gold. Freaking cat gold. I've killed over salt Steel, and many other things but really cat gold. No matter what you use to justify yourself you still killed him over cat gold.

You backstabbed a backstabber - and I applaud you for how well you sniffed out the rat among us and had the balls to do something about it.

Interesting to hear how oathkillers justify their behaviour. Post coords bear? Oathkillers must be eliminated.

Still waiting for coords for that sweet, sweet justice ;).

Bearcub is a good man, you people (mostly Cyd) have taken way too many hits to the head. This story reeks of stupid.
