It found its way out some 15 years later, but is still ignored by christians who think god made a mistake (CSU).

2. You also most likely confuse cause and effect. Your speculation is weed caused the state of your brother and completely ignore the possibility that his state caused him to abuse drugs - which as far as science knows is way more likely than your view.

I have ignored no possibilities, his "state" as you put it could have been caused by a number of other things or traumatic events completely unrelated to drugs, I am fully aware. I can say with the utmost confidence however that I have in fact thought about it to a larger degree than you give me credit for, not to mention I grew up with this person and know how they behaved before and after.

Exposing a developing neural network to overdoses of drugs is a bad idea. This goes for all substances that change brain chemistry, not only the illegal ones.

That is factually false, there have been tests made in bavaria a bit back that disprove your claim.

Well, actually they did two of them.
On the first one the setup was for the test persons to smoke a joint supplied to them and then drive - a good part had to be carried to the car so I don't wonder why they performed worse. This was used to ban weed for driving and criminalize it in general.
Second test came a bit later and there the people brought their own stuff and smoked what they saw fit when having to drive later - the high persons performed better (in terms of safety) than the drunk ones and the sober control group. This result was put in a drawer and locked away.

first test probably was performed with people who never smoke and were given a large dose.. the first time i got a friend stoned (was his first time and unfortunately, really really really good stuff) he got incredibly dizzy and puked within the first like 20 mins (and dry heaved a bunch the following couple hours). After many weeks, i finally convinced him to try again (more conservative amount with not as good stuff) and he had a blast.

one thing though, in my earlier years where ive driven after smoking, i was far far more likely to follow speed limits along with paying more attention to my surroundings due to the fact that i did not want to get caught. so yes, as a result, smoking did make me drive "better"

lots of these people that spout some of these negative claims are just ignorant and/or confuse anecdotal evidence as fact
everyone is different and the results of smoking can affect everyone differently.. just because my buddy puked his first time doesnt mean everyone pukes their first time. same thing as driving negligence when stoned. in my case, i was far far more careful when stoned than when not. but in the same token, some people are just terrible drivers, even when sober. in my opinion, i feel that driving after being awake for 60+ hours is far far more dangerous than driving after a bit of a smoke

This isn't why I believe I drive safer if I'm stoned but I do believe that's the case. I'm a maniac on the roads when sober, a real menace to society and I've wrecked a few cars now (never had an accident involving anyone but me though). To the point where I now drive a heavy, lumbering 4WD diesel van primarily because it can't go fast. But whenever I drive high I'm just so relaxed, considerate of other road users, more observant. Not saying that's the case for everyone but it is what it is.

Your entire posting was a justification for why study is wrong. You call people who do these study ''ignorant'' because they come to different conclusion as you. A conclusion which is seems to be only supported by anecdote evidence.

Also, by this way, I am not sure about you to think this. A man who is high does not in a state to determine his own ability.

i suppose i could have been more clear.. i dont claim the people who did the study ignorant (although i do make a hypothesis in how they derived their results due to anecdotal evidence.. so i guess i call them potentially biased. [through my years of experience, i have never needed to carry someone because they couldnt walk after getting stoned.. not even the guy who puked.. he made it to the bathroom on his own two feet]). i claim the people that spout negative associations while having no personal experience and without providing sufficient scientific evidence as being ignorant.. although i guess that would technically be the definition of ignorant, so w/e

not really sure how to rebutt that statement due to translation error? (not trying to bash your english)

I think maybe you can be biased too. ;)

Agreeable.

I assume you refer to this one:
Ysh wrote:Also, by this way, I am not sure about you to think this. A man who is high does not in a state to determine his own ability.

I am saying, to say some: ''When I am high, I think I drive well when I am high'' is not a compelling statement for me. I think the man who is high will not be reliable.

These adds were made for a reason. Marijuana is dangerous.
