By means of physics He did, I hope.

I too believe he made the universe but its a matter of how he made it that interests me. I believe in a god who is analytical and logical who created this world through explainable phenomenom such as evolution and the like.

Exactly why I felt the need to clarify.

Perhaps there was somekind of creature that created this all.
Some might call him god even though he is just somone/something.
He maybe created a big ball of matter and energy, defined laws of physics that universe works with. And then sat back and watched what happens-

If there is a god I strongly doubt this was the first attempt at making a universe. I suspect there were a number of iterations prior to this one and there will be many more. I believe in a creator of some sort, the universe seems too ordered to have come to be through happenstance. I find it incredibly hard to believe any such being would take much of an interest in us however.

The universe seems logical because it was orderly enough to yield us. Since someone is around to appreciate that fact we assume there was some kind of logic or idea behind it.
That is an assumption though, and is likely false.

Wouldn't it be far more likely for things to be less structured and ordered than they are though? It seems an amazing coincidence.

Both options are wrong representation. First one thinks that "nothing in life matters" and is depressed about it because it matters for him that something in life would matter. Second one think that nothing in life matters so he's free (to have a good time, wear hip clothes and take cool postures). Therefore, having good time and freedom of everything matters for him.
