I actually have a garden in my backyard. I grow mostly tomatoes and peppers, but have considered expanding it to potatoes, corn, carrots, maybe some beets and turnips, though i'm the only one that eats those in my family, beans... Fun fact, a family of four can grow enough vegetables to feed themselves for a year on a quarter acre of land.

At this point in my life, I have no illusions. I grew up poor, I'm going to die poor. I didn't have foresight enough to get a good job before I started a family, so I raised my kids poor. FYI, this "burden on society" crap is a line started by a bunch of fat pigs who don't want to give anything to anyone else. Can't say I blame them, but some of them certainly seem to enjoy the fruits of the labors of the poor.

Nobody asks age, just "are you 13 or older" to comply with US laws, but yes, there are. I don't have access to that information directly, but I can think of a couple that have given away ages on the forums... and there are certainly more than a few that are still under 21, either that have been with us for a few years or more, or that are just now coming to the game. Just browse this thread for starters.

If it were me, I'd push that number to 30, 32 or something around there, but I'll say that a statistical approach with average levels of responsibility, etc etc has been taken, so who am I to argue with that number? (Worth noting we're talking "average," not everyone.)

They have been calling me old man for half of my live now and I am only 24. I think this 30 year old youth is too high.

Well, for the last 3 years or so I have been backpacking around Europe and for a short while in Japan. At 23 I had grown rather sick of 9-5 work prior to that and just spontaneously dropped everything, severed roots, and hit the road. I picked up whatever work I could find along the way to cover expenses, saved some on the side too. After that I realized I am not getting any younger and that I should do something with myself. So I came back to the States about 2 months ago, got a ~40 hour a week job, and will begin working toward a degree in IT.

I get home at 14:30-ish from work, and will have plenty of time during the day to play hnh

If I recall the story, it was when he was asked about why he wrote about dystopian futures. (I'm assuming the site I found it on was accurate.)

I happen to be reading Fahrenheit 451 right now. Picked up this funky old paperback at the local book faire not three weeks ago. You know who wants to outlaw old classics like The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn? Or who led the assault on recording artists? The fascist Republikkans, yes? No.

It's odd, isn't it? That Jello Biaffra of the Dead Kennedys rants against rightists to this day, but who was it that tried to ban his art? Democrats. He bloody railed against Jerry Brown in his song California Uber Alles, attacks the oraganic hippy crowd and their phony smiles and lifestyles back in 1979, but wanks Brown off in 2018? It's bizarre. Like most artists Biaffra is a full-on retard.
