I do still use a home phone connection because I don't want a tracking device in my pocket. (I do have my reliable 2004 Nokia flip phone I keep prepaid.)

I'll note the ONLY reason I replace my computer and not using the one I purchased in the 1990s is because they break. Upgrading only goes so far when certain core components break as the computer industry seems to want to come out with new standards every 5 years. It's a conspiracy against the average consumer, I tell you.

Tracking device in your pocket is very handy. For navigation, a phone with map application and gps to show where you are is really useful!
