You're mistaken. I believe your map is real. I'm pointing out that you posted it like it was proof (it's not) after Burinn pointed out that any map you post would be easy to photoshop (it was). The cherry on top is that you later made a comment indicating that you actually didn't know they were trying to make that point.

When the maps you provide are obviously fabricated to push your own point across, of course I'm going to ignore the information, especially when it comes from a known liar.

The maps are obviously fabricated to push the point that maps are easy to fabricate. This point can be made by someone who lies or tells the truth because that aspect of someone is not relevant when the entire point is self contained in a single comment like that. The fact that you think them being a liar is somehow relevant indicates to me that you don't actually understand what point they were trying to make.

If you fully understood it then why did you bring in their trustworthiness when it has literally nothing to do with it? If you understood the point then why did you go and do the thing they warned you not to do? Are you suggesting that you cut off your nose to spite your face? If you're talking about someone being incapable of simple things then maybe you should take a look at yourself first.

You gave very, very, weak proof; they even told you it would be weak. I don't think you understand Burinn's point at all or at least there is a discrepancy with what you're claiming happened and what actually happened.

Part of deciding where to settle has many factors. If you don't like ore poor areas, find elsewhere to settle. Make a temporary camp that can be moved as soon as you can start prospecting the cave layer and L2.

What exactly, does anyone want the devs to do about it? Everything comes in nodes and despite how noisy the RNG might be, there is pattern to it. That means some areas will be richer in ores than others, just like some areas have a lot of a few biomes and very little to none of others. Maybe that ore poor area has something else there that can't be found elsewhere in the world. Maybe it's so rich on L5 and below, you really do want to dive in there... later. Maybe it's just the absolute worst spot ever, and even the south pole has more economic use than the place that some unlucky person got randomly dropped at.

I hate to be the wet sheet on this flame war, but did we need 60+ posts to prove little to nothing about the world that wasn't already known?
