im pretty sure that's the only thing that some people do for the entire time that people are locked out of buying rage
we had a guy who clearly had several characters he made with the exclusive reason for using them be griefing come dick around with us enough that we just kept dancing naked alts surrounding the claimpole during its dry time because there was nothing we could do to actually get back at him yet

you couldve just posted this and saved everyone the time of thinking u had any opinions to give on the matter lol

Are you seriously arguing that it's fine that getting attacked results in an inescapable auto-loss if you're not carrying >6 liters of water? You're not carrying three identical axes, why does it make sense for people to have to carry 10 waterskins? PvP is the only situation where more than two waterskins are relevant.

You're not making a bad point overall, needing belts full of water for PvP (or at all, tbh) is indeed stupid, but there's definitely a lot of situations like mining where you need probably even more water than PvP on the regular.

Atleast when mining you can bring a barrel of water and refill your waterskin leading to only needing one if you want to carry lots of pickaxes or only got a poor mans belt, good luck surviving pvp with a barrel on your back :)

I kinda get the feeling this game doesn't get alot of balancing done, instead most work seems to go towards new features or something. But I'm pretty new here too and most info I got is from what little time I've got playing, talking to older players and reading up on the forum in random posts here and there.

I don't like the way water works either but at some point you need to take a bit of responsibility instead intentionally being a victim then writing an essays about it on the forum. Retard.

I'm arguing that you're rly fucking stupid for being this oblivious about the state of game mechanics

Hence stupid takes like this

You don't have to like a game mechanic to also have enough common sense to realize the implication of it means that your belt should have a significant quantity of water in it, even just as a baseline to make doing chores and shit around your base not a complete pain to do- mining as a whole not even being fully considered.
Your self-determined desire to handicap yourself rests on your own shoulders.

I definitely did consider mining (as well as other water-intensive tasks like landscaping), but in all those cases, as Seriouskai pointed out, bringing a barrel is more practical. In practice I never run out of water with on-foot/horse/boat travel when carrying two waterskins, and for snekkja travel I have a barrel of water in my snekkja. Again: PvP is the only situation that requires you to consume massive amounts of water in which you can't just easily get a refill, but have to rely on what you are carrying with you at that specific moment, and thus need more than two waterskins.

I'm not playing right now, but I get a Snakeskin Belt (3x2) early on and eventually switch to a Grand Belt (3x3). I haven't had an Exquisite Belt or Troll Belt in a while because high-value trade has been shit for a while, silkmaking is tedious and I can't solo a troll.
