As for the original question: I'd play no-alt no-bot world, because that has been my mode of operation since w2. I don't mind bots and alts, though, and I haven't seen any serious botting yet, even in big villages. Farm bots and mammoth checker bots at most.

Honestly, and its ok if this is the case, I think haven actually just isn't the game for you. Its 2 dudes, you're asking the impossible for them to COMPLETELY REMOVE ALL FORMS OF BOTTING from the game.

You completely reject the notion of "we agree with you, but rather than ban bots, lets fix the mechanics" you're hellbent that nothing is wrong with the games mechanics and everybody playing this game shouldn't have a wife, kids, job, school, studies, anything outside of it and should spend their entire time in the game or they don't deserve anything.

You're out of touch with the majority this games existing audience, most of the players have been here for a long time. And i'm sorry but the attitude of "the audience is so small you can't cater to just them" sure, but you need an active alternative audience for that to be true, otherwise you're just killing the game for the sake of killing the game.

You seem to be unwilling to constructively discuss any real alternatives that aren't "ban everybody and kill their dogs too" so just enjoy the game, you do you, don't use bots, play it how you want to play it and sleep soundly knowing you earned the products of your efforts.

What gets me, is you speak of people who were from the old times. Yet this game has devolved so much from what it was in the "old times" It doesn't even look like what it was.
