Not sure how many of you are fans of the Star Wars franchise, the games over the years, etc, and figured this was as good a place for this as anywhere else...
Read a news/rumor article that Disney is shopping around for a new publisher for the franchise games. Choices mentioned were Ubisoft and Activision... Not sure either is an improvement. One of the articles I've seen:
https://www.thegamer.com/rumor-disney-d ... publisher/ I think it might have to do with recent performance (Battlefront not as well received, and a cancelled title), but there's been more than a few not-so-hot or cancelled games in the franchise history. Then again, it could be money, and the "rumor mill" is to just get a few more percentage points out of someone. LucasArts has been with EA since... well, the first Star Wars game came out on a PC/console that I can recall. (Nintendo/Sega-mid-late 80s era; not earlier Atari/Apple/Commodore of late 70s-early 80s.)
