Also people sound stupid when they talk about fate. If you find good curio youre lucky. If you dont find then youre unlucky. Fate is stupid word and it should be banned from use.

i was destined to find this bluebell it was made for me

No, you just got lucky.

It's an interesting question for sure, but after having collected some data on curiosities so far, I figure that edel's, and bolete's (both of which i think is fated?) are pretty lame curiosities to study, unless of course you somehow get lucky and find a high Q node of either. Bluebell's are pretty decent, but doesn't have an insane "wow" factor like an old boot might have. Pretty much the only thing that changed for me is I avoid going on mountains, since for edel's it isn't worth my time.

Granted, since playing hafen since launch, all I've found personally is 2 boletes, a pearl, and that's about it. So to me, I just pretty much pretend they don't exist.

It's even worse. If it's not random, why I'm not getting rewarded at least for a one time? What's wrong I have done? Am I a botter? Or the only thing I do is scouting mountains and swamps? No, I'm just playing this game and some people are getting reward, but I dont get it. This system looks like shit for me.

I dont care about too much about fate curios, they are just one of the causes of a bigger issue. forging for curios is straight up terrible.

even with 45 * 43 the only place I can reliably find curios is a really big swamp. everywhere else sucks, I'll spend 3-4 hours foraging and find enough to study for only 2 hour, its not even self sustaining.

So I cannot keep my own study report full, let alone help villagers. on top of this foraged curios generally seem much lower quality than previous world. generally q10-15.

so basically exploration is a trash skill and better off just studying crafted q10 curios than an empty study report. also an HUGE factor in this QQ is limited game time. crafting those q10 curios means you don't waste precious gametime on shite exploration.

You need to go out and get glimmer anyway.
It's not just to get rare curios, it's consistent forables.

I do see your point tho. I don't even pick up danelions, berries, lady mantles, nettle, string, etc.
I do raid ant hills but it's becoming more of a chore now.

found 2 glimmers today out of a few cave systems. Its exactly like I said several hours of foraging for 2 curios that won't even last the amount of time I put in.

meanwhile my 20 exploration alt did a better forage trip than my main ever has, during DEWY HAPPY HOUR. High investment in EXP is simply not worth it, and part of the cause is no flots/bluebells/edwel.

You simply need to diversify if you want to progress from there. Foraging alone does not keep your study filled anymore and that is a good thing. It shouldn't be the only king of lp gains. There are a lot of decent crafted curios so use those in combination with foraged ones.

What you describe is exactly what needs to be avoided: People just farming mountains and swamps with their forage bots all day and it is all they need to raise good characters.

Funny you said that. Im at 30 perception and 25 exploration. I have only gotten boletes and I found 3 so far (over 3 days or so). Im sure they are fate but not being able to see blue bells, the better curios is kinda trash.

I am always full with 46 int total, and 28 * 40. Are you sure you are not being too picky?

Just my 2 cents about fate: I dont think it is a very good idea. But I support it since it kind of nerfs Perception and Exploration, which I always thought both to be way too powerful compared to other attributes and abilities since they are used for a lot of different stuff and you dont even have to pay more lp for that. They are just too broad, almost omnipresent no matter what you are doing.
