Day 3 consisted of a shorter journey, as we battled with a cow and a calf getting stuck on literally everything we went past. Things didn't get better as we hit a grassy area, full of badgers and boars, and as Amanda got aggroed, her cow went loose, and she jumped into the wagon as I chased away from the badger who was after her. Needless to say we ended up with a long cow hunt after that ordeal!

We did settle in camp number three, filled the trough, set a fire, and importantly after day 1's incident, my hearth fire, and were about to log off....
Base 3

when lo and behold we meet our very first hearthling, also with a wagon, and we had to do a double take as we were introduce to Mr. Simpson, who was seeking residency elsewhere on the map

Image

Mr Simpson kindly wanted to leave us with something to help us with our journey, and since he has been reading this thread, aptly knew we were all terrible at fighting animals and so left us with some sausages, and we thanked him with some curios we'd collected during our journey :)

Image

you will notice from the chat that he noticed Amanda barely had any clothes left after her little rendez vous with the badger earlier and even offered to make her a vest. There are lots of nice people in Hafen:)
Hopefully we'll be meeting more in the next part of the journey.

Amanda has more pictures as I was battling with the crappy terrains and trees while driving the wagon, and we even managed not to go in circles. Many accomplishments in one night!

I'm loving this thread. Your adventures are fantastic, and I keep looking forward to reading more of what will happen.

Will the cow escape? Will the wagon topple off a cliff!? ooo! Exciting!

Well, last night was quite eventful, even if shorter, we set off fine and made good headway for quite awhile.

Em's love for tree's is rapidly dwindling.

Then it got a bit hairy for awhile, lol.

We stopped off to forage and as Em says, ran into some badgers and a boar, I got agroe'd and had to run as my char can not into badgers ... :P

Em came racing in to the rescue with the wagon and I've changed my mind ... Em has awesome driving skills! :D ... The badger continued to chase us for awhile and during the chase my cow broke free.

Vera can kill badgers so headed up on foot towards us, meanwhile the badger gave up. V suggested I take the baby, leaving her free to fight if the badger came back, we set off to look for the cow. She was lost, it took awhile, I spot her up against a cliff and rush in, only to then get agroe'd by the blasted boar I had forgotten about ! who was standing at the edge of the cliff .... :( .... I ran with the calf and tried to head towards a cave I'd seen, I couldn't tell the girls what was happening or take screens as I was too busy trying to escape with the baby getting stuck on everything! :x

Needless to say the boar caught up with me and got in some attacks, I knew I couldn't win in a fight so kept trying to head to the cave ..... I couldn't find it, lol, no surprise there ....

Eventually I took some more damage, just when I thought it was all over, Em appears again and I manage to get into the wagon. :D
I lost my fur boots, my linen shirt and my prized bat cape .... .... oh, and the baby ....

We hunted down the cows and set off again, at least I was still alive and had only 25 nicks and knacks damage .....
I saw the badger as we drove away .....

The next stage took us over some hilly terrain which was quite nice and we saw a monument of some kind being constructed. :D

It started to get dark so we drove through the night to find somewhere to settle. A lonely auroch watched us pass by wishing he could join us.

As daylight came we had found a nice grassy area and so set up camp.

Which is when Mr Simpson came along. (Thanks :D )

And finally .....
One arty shot ......

Thanks to everyone enjoying our trip and for all the support, it is fun, you should all give it a go! :D

I'm really enjoying this journal. Reading it is really fun and it has been warming my heart through the difficult times we're going through in our village.
Hopefully evertyhing will be settled soon (which includes you all, too :P )

Can't wait for the next steps of this epic journey! :D

P.S.: You gals should name the wagon 'Further' ;)

Not sure mine of Amanda's song abilities are really peace making to be honest, so we may need to rely on LadyV :D

its good to see you posting <3

Emerald, I wont play until after I finish out my degree at least. I'm on my last year and I can't afford another hiatus.

Amanda, to which tune is that song meant to be sung?

It's an old song about Cowbys and Indians, from a film I think, my grandfather used to sing it when we were little, out in the car. :D
It's called '3 wheels on my wagon', I just googled the lyrics for it and then shortened and adapted them. I've since looked for it and found this;

Good Luck on your journey!
I have vague memories of tying a woman up and throwing her in a dungeon.
