Is there a drug (as in, narcotic) that is completely beneficial for your health? I may be naive in this matter due to certain circumstances, but if you'd enlighten me I'd be grateful.

Well to answer your question it depends completely on the person/drug/consumption. There are many drugs which can only benefit you if used correctly/responsibly. But that is not what I was talking about. I'm just saying that, to say gaming addiction is healthier than drug addiction(all drugs under one banner) is quite ridiculous, considering all the burnouts I know who play games and never do drugs, and all the news stories about people dying from playing MMO's, etc...

Addiction is the problem not any drug or activity.

In which case tell your child not to do drugs under your roof? I dunno. Having to force that one someone is a foreign concept to me. Why intentionally cause strife in your household instead of acknowledging you live under their rules until you live alone.

Because maybe I didn't choose to be born into a shit life with a shit family with shit rules, and I'm just trying to enjoy my shitty existence because I do not have the choice/ability to support myself with a shitty job yet? And because weed is fucking amazing?

Yeah, I was going to answer your previous comments quoting me with some reasoning behind my words but now I think it'll be a fruitless labour.
So angsty.

So you just ignore my reasoning just because you thought I was angsty? Sorry, I was just trying to make a point... Your argument must not be very strong if you can't enter a heated debate(not that it was meant to be heated)

Honestly no offense but you sound like somebody who has lived a sheltered maybe antisocial life and has no experience with the reality people around you are forced to live in. What are you even objecting to anyway? My last post had nothing to do with what we were discussing before that. You have some problem accepting that gaming addictions can potentially be worse than drug addictions? Because that is really the only thing I said... And it is 100% reasonable even in an objective sense.

I just don't think I can make an impact on someone capable of saying that drugs are "amazing". I didn't realize you were making a point explaining angsty teenagers' reasoning, not being one yourself.

And if you can't pick up a steaming pile of something unsavory, that doesn't mean your arms aren't "very strong", that means you have basic concept of hygiene and healthy instincts. And arguing with angsty teenagers (whish I thought you were) about drugs is a very big pile of something unsavory, in my experience.

As for your actual point, by all means, you're entitled to your opinion based on your experience as I am to mine. I've been working for a while in legal system and maybe the experience tilted my judgement somewhat, but I still think that gaming addiction can be controlled and treated with more ease, because it is purely psychological; chemical addictions' withdrawal, on the other hand, can do horrible, unimaginable things to both human body and psyche.

Why even ask that question? Not all drugs are narcotics. In fact most aren't. I'd throw some nootropics in there if there were sufficient clinic studies done on them; maybe in a few years.
