Im curious and have a naive question: if DIS so much in cheating by using all their army of bots, etc., is that exploit in the code left by developers? Why it is not corrected?

There's no exploit, and I don't think Dis is that much overly abusing bots tbh, there's just so many players in their group. But when it comes to bots, it's basically automatization of processes you're supposed to do yourself, which makes the game much easier and more efficient for them.

Everyone knows they have got the devs in their pocket. Jorb and lofter look the other way in exchange for "favors" from ladygoo...

Botting is "tolerated", although there are limits, as seen when Dis was punished for experience botting. In general the devs aim to change the game mechanics to discourage botting instead of policing for bots - the latter would be hard anyway, considering there's only two people on the dev team.

It's not really an "exploit", H&H bots interact with the server like any human using a client would. There are bots for every MMO you can think of, and they work pretty much the same way. Telling bots from humans in this context is hard and is why things like CAPTCHAs were developed, although these can be defeated through other methods (such as paying real people to solve them) and are also a tad too intrusive to use in a videogame, not to mention they put an annoying burden on innocent players.

Enjoy your captcha at battle.
Give a man a game engine and he delivers a game. Teach a man how to make a game engine and he never delivers anything.

90% of players would quit if they implemented mid-gameplay captcha xD

We've been developing, and here's what's new.

New Implementations
-----------------------
  • Added captchas to curtail botting. Now, when taking any action (attack/defense/combat actions, farming, crafting, etc.) you have to enter a captcha to successfully complete it. Higher Q tools/items/materials will give either shorter or longer captchas, based on an RNG roll. This RNG seed changes every 5 hours.
