Is that why every new world dies out faster than the previous?
Zamp wrote:I came to the forums to see if anyone was talking about Valheim. I'm surprised there isn't a topic about it. It's not an mmo (10 player co-op) and I don't expect it to ever be, but it's a game Haven players would like. The base building gives me a lot of Haven vibes. It gives me hope for the genre because a lot of the mechanics are streamlined without taking away from their core functions and the art style is light-weight without looking horrible. Games like Haven suck when it comes to new player acquisition and it has gotten progressively worse since I began in W2, but I'm hoping devs(not necessarily Job/Loftar, but all devs interested in creating a survival game) take Valheim as inspiration for something that can be both streamlined and deep.
Once my friends and I are done with the game, I plan on using it as a way to get them to try Haven too.
