Some of this stuff is just so eye rollingly ignorant or inflammatory I can't find any response.

What I will say is that if roles were reversed and it was western oligarchs who had sanctions imposed then it would also be the common folk in the West who would suffer most and not the super wealthy.

Also that if the USA were to take military action against Australia it would become common knowledge how much they bully us as a nation.

When a big nation says to you "do what we say or we will fight about it" and your response is "let's fight" then that is the choice you have made. Very simple. If the USA invaded Australia I would like to fight them. However with the vast majority of Australians bending over, drooling and croaking "murica" it would be pointless.

Leave it to Jalpha to enter a thread about war in Ukraine and try to make it all about him.

"don't forget about me today, guys  "

Man, nobody is interested in your opinion on this topic either way. 100% of forum users could have absolutely guessed what it would have been before you typed it

Nobody is interested in what you would do in a completely different scenario.

If you want to fantasize about the idea of some worldly happening that gives your life purpose, this is probably not the thread for it.

That being said, does anybody have any resources and links they are following for info? Sadly I have just been following news subreddits so far, but I'm sure there are some other better hubs for reliable information out there that I am missing.

To our Russian friends, as you may not have heard the news: several Russian banks are being removed from the Swift international banking system. The banks subject to removal haven't been named yet (as far as I can see). This was announced yesterday and will happen over the next few days. I've also seen items on Reddit indicating that this isn't widely known in Russia yet, but that people who have found out are withdrawing cash from their bank accounts, potentially triggering a bank run. In the interests of your own well-being, you may want to consider trying to withdraw enough cash to cover your expenses for several days, if not several weeks. The banks may freeze any withdrawals to prevent their own collapse, which means any assets you need to survive could be inaccessible.

Alarming as this may be, this isnt about YOU, it isnt about 'what if america invaded Australia?' and it most certainly isnt about your attempt to seem like a 'real man'. You dont even live in Australia and i doubt you could fight your way out of a wet paper bag, let alone fight a real person.

Simply drawing parallels between the way Ukraine handles being bullied versus how Australia handles being bullied. I respect their choice even if I consider it senseless.

Anyone have a list of how many countries the USA invaded illegally without getting sanctioned?

How about you put your boner for America away for awhile? This isnt about America or Australia. Show some empathy for the people that are currently suffering through no fault of their own. If you cant do that, maybe just dont comment at all.
