tbh i don't really see how this is much different than steams early access games that are broken, the only difference is that i'm quite confident that the devs won't abandon this like what seams to have happen to most of the green lit games i got, and they are also giving everyone a chance to test it out for 48 hrs before they buy it which isn't that bad of a deal.

Yeah, but on Steam Early Acces you pay for game once. That's a difference.

Even on a kickstarter you pay only once. Once. Not monthly.

But that's why I'd personally have gone for a 1 month free, then transition to whatever payment system you want kinda thing. Currently you are just crashing constantly, Jorbtar could have foreseen, no, should and have foreseen this happening. Yet they chose to charge 15 dollar for broken servers and broken dreams.

This game, HnH, it has had these problems for years and they have mostly gone unfixed. In my opinion atleast.

Not $15, $10. $6 if you go long.

You say it like the six suddenly makes it more acceptable. It's not. You'd be commiting to the game for a year to make that '6' statement that Jorb threw around factual. It's not factual if you don't play every day for a year.

Man, this time it's taking some time to restart the server. Maybe they are working on something to make it more stable?

i have to agree with you on this point tbh, it should have been a one time payment but i'm still completely for them charging at this time of the games development. also it may be $6 monthly but thats $72 which is more than any early access game which are 1 time payments. i think that i'd be alright with ~$40 due to the amount of hours i've already spent in haven.

dafaq does server shutting down mean. Did jorb and lofter accidentally turned off their server, instead of their pc?

No, they are restarting it because it crashed.

I just think it's a cheap way to get more revenue out of content that never really changes. What I have seen of Haven 2 so far is just a reskin of haven 1 with more graphical assets.

Assets that are in my opinion uglier. I played HnH1 for it's cute pixel art style. There's so much you can do with it. And, to be honest, if this is what we're selling the price on (''It looks better!'') then I can get a better game for less money at a 1 time price on steam right now. I play(ed) this game for the community and the fun in building your own little pixel village. And it looks like that is just going out the window right now.

So yes, I agree. I'd pay 40 euro's once for HnH1, I'd pay less than that for HnH2. But I'd never pay a subscription for either of them because I just know Jorbtar are not gonna give the support you deserve for that money monthly, especially if you commit to a long term subscription, and also because I fear we won't be seeing frequent updates NOR a server update.
