You spoil your dwarfs. They don't need that much space in their bedrooms.

What do you know about Fine Quarters? You want your dwarwes to sleep in a shitty dormitory? I once paved every single room with GOLD and every single dworphy had it's own drink-bar.

I was instead obsessed with waterfalls in the common room. Many a dwarf was drowned.

I was once obsessed with all dormitories facing a common giant hole with colored glass windows. Then I realized it looked like a condo and figured it would be easier to play Sim City or something, so I had to make it unique and decided to fill it with lava...
Then it kinda failed.
Was memorable.

I love hearing DF stories!

I figured it would be easier to play Sim City when forgotten beast with body made of steam and with fire-acid breath just came through all my gates walls and defences and just killed about ~30 dwarfes in common room in one attack. I paused that game and never resumed.

Such a waste of money!

I hear it's grindy af, it takes ages to do everything ...

Eh, there's a stat/skill cap you can hit within three days of strong play... and no permadeath. A decent palisaded base can be made in hours.

It's the castles that take a long time. Arguably one or two people shouldn't grind out castles themselves... but they can.

But keep in mind 20 people can make a castle in 5% of the time it takes 1.

Decided to go back to Wurm instead of Haven.

Having a lot of fun playing Wyvern server on Wurm unlimited right now. Wurm is full open world sandbox survival game, quite grindy but so much to do. It's a lot like Haven but slower paced, more immersive, more fun and more fully developed / refined. Life is fuedal is probably similar to Wurm but Wurm has been out a lot longer so there is more content imo, you have a lot more freedom with the things you can do.

Here's an example of creating a base in wurm: https://youtu.be/A37MJFunZSY?t=41

Is Wurm still freemium?
