But that's only if the people elected have any real power. This is not the case in the US, where the president doesn't have nearly as much power as is commonly believed.

Considering he hasn't mentioned it, I wasn't expecting him to. I'll still take him a LONG ways over Trump or Hillary. And probably even over Cruz or Kasich.

i'm voting for bernie cause at the least it'll piss the big companies off. he seems like he's there for the little guys.

btw minimum wage should be higher while they should stop giving money to stupid people. welfare shouldn't be such a great thing. some people make more money doing nothing than getting an actual job

I thought "the little people" loved Trump? Who other than they vote for him?
I personally do not think Cruz is a better option than Trump. But it is like choosing to be shot or hung..

Especially in US.

Not directly but some much is being done to prevent many of the candidates from getting past the primaries, which is pretty bad as it is. And that is not counting what's going on in Congress. And when they are up there, they are already influenced by interest groups in a way that they forgot what their original plan was and do what those political group tells them to do.

Voting for the reanimated corpse of Ronald Reagan, as any good, self-respecting American would.

If you spent as much time reading up on the definition of cartel as you do reading about the definition of privilege you would be able to answer that question for yourself I am sure. Albeit alongside blatant misinterpretation.

If you're trying to say that a country having total control over its supply of money and its interest rates is a bad thing, you couldn't be any more wrong. Calling it a cartel implies there's some kind of shady syndicate behind all of it.

Protip: There isn't.

Sanders is a popular choice because he supports free education and raising the minimum wage to a living wage.
Trump is popular mainly because he is a nativist.

first don't know why someone would want to bring up this subject here of all places

but i think i will be hilery this year, it's already been set for that, bernie is a threat to too many corps. he fought against as senator, and trump
is just another narcissist fall guy (anyone remember sarah palin) . too many character flaws in the lot, for me to be "happy" with any of them.
i do believe bernie is the best option but don't think he will be available come elections.

these days america elections means people throwing around a whole lot of stupid and i just want to hide my head til it's over with.

I think it's important to ensure you don't inadvertently place yourself in an echo chamber of similar thoughts and ideas.

Then fact that anyone believe Sanders will be able to do any of the shit he's promising indicates y'all are wishful thinkers.

Sanders is way too idealistic, targeting young voters who don't know much about the political system. "I'm going after big corporations and making education free!" Automatically attracts voters and other idealistic people in this country. how does Sanders plan on making his campaign promises happen when A. Republicans control Congress B. Lobbyists are powerful as ever. Voting for Sanders is asking for another eight years of unfulfilled campaign promises.

At least Trump and even Clinton are being realistic in there own deluded ways but they favor lobbyists interests, but Sanders ideals are beyond unreachable with the way our political system is setup
