I disagree but I'm open to being proven wrong. I don't think it's necessarily a good or bad thing to repress peoples sexuality. The more homosexuals, the less children. Slower population growth means less consumption. In turn this reduces the pressure on our environment at the expense of extra pressure on the economy.

I can't decide.

But if homosexuals are ok then why not people who have a thing for sex in public. Or pedos.

Eventually all of these things will be perfectly acceptable as our society becomes more and more homogenized.

A biological construct was an oxymoron until humans started to breed animals and plants to fit their desires I guess.
So wrong wording from me. Anyways, so in your opinion gay people decide to be attracted to the same sex?

Says who? Homosexuality has been considered immoral for a very long time now. What has suddenly changed? Only peoples perceptions. Morality is a social construct, as such it is fluid and liable to change.

I think so. I also don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Edit: I believe that homosexuals cling to the concept that they are genetically different in an attempt to justify their behaviour. If there was no need for the justification the excuse would be unnecessary.

Society at large. Homosexuality is still considered immoral in plenty of the world, but it doesn't have any quantifiable negative impact on individuals/society at large. The other two absolutely do.

What's suddenly changed is that we aren't hunting down homosexuals and chemically castrating them anymore because we aren't afraid of burning in hell because of it.

You're wrong. Homosexuality most certainly does have a negative impact on society.

I'd recommend an ethics class. This, and incest, get brought up a lot when talking about morality / ethics. They're pretty fun courses.

I don't like to have preconceptions imposed upon me by structured education systems. But thanks for the suggestion.

I really doubt that it is a choice to be homosexual

80 years ago black people were constantly being shit-on for something that they couldn't help, and I'm sure a black man living through those times would change their skin colour if it were an option simply because of how stigmatized and alienated black people were at the time

These days, gay people have filled the slot for being the ones to get shit-on. Some get beaten or even killed for their sexual orientation. People hid behind closed doors and kept it a secret for years... I think that sexual orientation is no different from the colour of your skin in that you don't get to choose.

If it was a choice I don't think many people would be lining up to be known as the "gay" guy at work or to be looked down on on a daily basis by former friends or family

It just doesn't make sense for it to be a choice. People take the path of least resistance and in the case of a gay person's daily life, I'm sure its an uphill battle
