It's not about "not learning", rather it's about trying to create something more or less original and unique.

As for having PvE server, the concern would be not only dividing the scarse enough population in two groups, but those things Loftar listed in "The developers thought on PvP" thread.

Banning comparison to other game because certain person can not learn from them without copying directly is not my problem.

Wasn't my point at all. But even if it is - you know, I already saw some "early-access-survival-open-world-crafting-mmo" that definitely (and I mean absoulutely) was unshamely copied their idea straight from H&H. So I think, it is allways better to be the one who teach rather than one who learns.
And, for the record, Im definitely against any PvE-servers. Can't even imagine why to play on them. I just stated, that the whole world of H&H shouldn't be focused on PvP. If 50-100 players can't find anything in this game along PvP - maybe this not their game.

Copy paste is not good idea. Original idea can be good and useful. But reinventing good things for just the sake of this or shutting out the rest of the world ideas is silly. ''All thing used in moderation.''

Chill man.

On topic, please no, please no, no new world. It's as if w8 barely existed, IMHO w9 should last longer, if only for experiment purpose. Resetting it would just artificially raise player count and the amount of money transactions, better keep working on better goals.

um. Actually they didnt.
They just repurposed old code which is partially reason why its so difficult to do things like bridges.

Yes, we had a base to start from, and doing it "from scratch" would be nothing short of moronic. That does not imply that we "just" repurposed old code. There has been a very major overhaul of the server, and that we do not have the technology to support every imaginable feature under the sun is not evidence to the contrary.

Every game mechanic in the game has been reimplemented more or less from nothing.

Agreed, but just to clarify - what particular thing being reinvented in H&H are we talking about?

Please do not launch world 10 yet. My hunger level for HnH is still a bit low.

Nothing specific, but there seems to be notion that players should not be allowing to compare Haven to other games. Example:
Enjoyment wrote:THIS. GAME. IS. NOT. WURM ONLINE.
It is either not WoW, CoW, Sow or any other game. It is even not Salem. Stop comparin. If you like Wurm - go play wurm. If you like H&H - play H&H. But don't complain why H&H doesnt have the mechanics of Wurm.

Not to single out Enjoyment, because I have seen this sentiment by other posters in other postings before. If there are some parallel between this game and others, we should look to this other game to see what happens. Jorb and loftar are two man team, they can not afford to brute force design of this game. They can not afford to not learn from mistake and success from other games.

Hmm, I believe we lost something in translation.
