It's quite strange considering how slow the game itself is, but the meta of world resets has ingrained itself in hard and people can easily follow that meta to be geared and ready for nearly anything in just a day or two.

^^Yeah that is strange, it might be just a matter of balancing it out. I'm a pretty slow player, but I got my metal gear before my first leather batch's timer was done this world. I expected it would have taken much longer than two days to progress from nettle-leather-metal, for me that's totally broken even without the forum meta. Didn't feel rewarding at all.

I joined this world when ore boulders were all pretty much gone, I got a full stack of bronze bars in one day by hitting two walls in a cave.

There aren't really many ways of fixing this speedtrain unless you just make everything twice as bad.

Enlarging the effort in making metal?

Like having a smelter work more like in RL (big bucket you heat and then you pull slag and pour fractions), so from ore to bar isn't done in an hour - but one would have to handle molten metal and have longer wait times?

So the initial smelting would be offline as of now, but after that some hoops to jump through to make the actual bars...

I am living in the south area, in the new parts of the map wear jorb and loftar added more land. I have been hunting ore boulder the past few days, first time since they wear a possibility that I have found any really. They are likely still spread out in the new map areas just waiting to be found. Even gold and silver boulders.

I was ready to prospect and do a mine hole, yes I still do, but I knew the cost and time, only noticed there wear some hear when I chipped a random rock, been hunting since then. It has sped up some of my plans and delayed others.

But even then in the more worn out parts of the world there are still ore spots no one has touched, places there still might be rocks of ore just laying on the ground.

Really if it came down to all I would want mainly is a frying pan though... if I could only get one metal object in the game, that would be it.....

Because you guys don't advertise the game. The only people who are aware of the game, are those who have known about it since forever. Other than one interview on a gaming website, and a couple threads on 4chan, I've literally never seen any references to the game on the Internet.

I actually like it. This is a close-knit community playing a wonderful game that nobody else knows about. It's a diamond in the rough.

Perhaps that is their advertising schema: word of mouth. If you like it, tell others about it.

I think that video brought hmm like 0 players

because if people see that he plays other games (which are ancient and real shit noone would play) its not weird, cause he makes hnh look worse than it is also cause he speaks like retard and who would watch the video until the end

someone just slightly smarter could maybe bring more people who knows

I took it for the sarcasm that it is. If you look at any of the "why did you join" threads that pop up, more than a few people say they found Haven because of that video, so as much shit as he talks about the game, many things were tongue in cheek, and there's always the old maxim "there is no such thing as bad publicity."
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
