Haven for most of its history had a big PVP element and social interactions base.

You do know there's a sticky thread by devs on this very forum which explains why PvP is in the game? And it doesn't say it's there as the game's central mechanic.

And Haven was *never* PvP heavy. Every single world, the time spent in PvP was well under 1% of total playtime for the average player, even for ones that played in large factions. It's a crafting game, always has been. FFS, if it was a PvP game, why would the devs devote so little of their time to the combat system? Surely PvP balance would be like 50% of dev effort if it was a PvP game?

No 4 people have to constantly bash it. Thats how it works in most games, it is an active task that is very difficult, takes lots of resources and lots of time. In rust or wurm or conan exiles. Basically any similar games with GOOD raiding implementation. It takes a lot of people a lot of time.

Bashing for 2 hours is a long time. No one would do that for a hermit or noobs. A good village should be able to get people or friends to come defend.

I mentioned raid times if you think time zones is a big issue but personally idc. Was never an issue in Wurm because all it would take is 1 person to notice and get their village mates to log in. I remember waking up at 4am to defend raids and defenders always have natural big advantage so raiding wasnt even that common. Raiding was a big endeavor that required a lot of planning. Sitting there bashing a wall for hours puts you in a very vulnerable spot.

So please explain why is this a bad system? There is no answer you can give which doesnt make me think you just dont want raiding at all in this game.

Well if thats such an issue just have raid windows. Theres no perfect system. Its the same for every game. Personally I preferred the wurm version without raid windows over the conan version with raid windows. At the end of the day, its an unimportant details. Just need to do SOMETHING.

It works in Rust because Rust has monthly wipes at the longest, and even then those servers tend to be fairly dead towards the end of a wipe. Have monthly world resets in Haven and easy siege could actually work.

Yeah its like I said before, its fucking pointless to have a discussion about PvP matters with PvE players. Your opinions are always going to be predictably identical to each other.

The advantage that defenders get in raiding is already huge. Hell, you could even move all of your equipment away in that time it takes to bash. But this is not enough for you, you just want no raiding at all. Seriously just go play farmville and stop influencing dev opinion in a PvP game.
