Yeah, I've played Kenshi before, its quite nice. Definitely in the same niche of giga autistic games for me, biggest difference is the multiplayer (in Kenshi you and NPC's commit war crimes against each other, in this game however... )

Also your point isn't wrong, and very valid. They have distanced themselves from this game, but why? What is the ROOT cause?
It's a constant tip-toe between the two communities, and instead of separating them they continually walk on egg shells scared of fracturing the micro-economics of the community they have left.
They're also human and thus retarded, so take that for what you will.

I just realised I made it sound like I don't really agree with you, but I do to some extent. But I think many of the community's complaints are very valid. At least ever since I joined, I've only seen the community complain when the devs add something stupid, cause they're so out of touch.

As far as I understand OCO means you can walk upon stationary and potentially (most likely) moving objects, E.g. the wagon stations platform/The dock and potentially being able to walk around moving ships. Sadly I do not believe it means "We've added belts and inserters."

To make a guess: The ocean is to become the true end game both due to the risk and lack thereof because of the ring "Silver for the ferrymen" effectively allowing you to have multiple lives in a way.
