But they do not eat clover. How to leash them to the post?

So I caught 2 mouflons and have tied them to a post, a day ago - I must ask, I know I'm supposed to fight them. How do I do that though? Do I initiate the fight, or are they supposed to take some form of fighting stance? I'm rather confused at this xD

Their tiny sheep legs will go from this: | |
to this: / \

When you see this you must initiate combat with them. Set yourself to passive so that when you punch their snout enough they will submit to you and you won't risk killing them. You'll have to releash them afterwards.

Yes, sorry, let me clarify. The two swords clashing in the top right. If you click it it'll change into an olive branch and once the animal goes passive theirs will also turn into an olive branch and combat will immediately end.
