I doubt any bow I will make out in the wilderness will really make a difference killing anything..or would it?

10q bow with 10q arrows is 180 damage, a little better than that and you can 1 shot deers, badgers, foxes, lynx, mouflons

Boars will run away on one hit though

You can do it with like 10mm, as long as you don't miss (then it aggros you and you run for your life )

And you CAN but uh, they have a small hitbox, so it's hard.

Awww, Em, lol, we are not fairing well against the wildlife .... we're going to end up travelling naked at this rate!

Only just read the update, so squirrels, nice, are they caught like rabbits? Do they run up tree's? And at least the cart will no longer get stuck on critters .... so that's a plus.

@ Archiplex .... I did try archery, ages ago, but I couldn't hit anything and just lost tons of arrows ... .... I quite like the new fighting system anyway, just need to practice, get better at it and increase stats on that char. My hermit char can kill badgers and is ready for boars now, just haven't tried one yet, lol, bit scary.

Only just read the update, so squirrels, nice, are they caught like rabbits? Do they run up tree's? And at least the cart will no longer get stuck on critters .... so that's a plus.

They're caught like rabbits, and seem to be much slower than rabbits, at running speed you're going to easily catch them.

Even if bats have a small hitbox you can easily aim at them by pointing at them at the minimap. I've never managed to land an arrow though and punching them to death its quite easy.

the trees are what keep the cows getting stuck, so they're the problem. In treeless areas, it's much quicker to go round, but they tend to be the worst areas because you can't find anything!

and yeah...once we settle I need to work on hunting to seek some revenge for my torn clothing ;(

II still need some nettles for a shirt at least! and it'll be the last time I'm going into a cave for a while:P

and as mentioned, squirrels are easy to catch, I got two I found yesterday night. one is still alive however...for now...
