You've just committed a micro aggression and will be fined a 42.534 second suspension from Robben's safe space.

That's a bit excessive, it's not like he kneeled during national anthem.

I know you're making a joke (or maybe not), but screw all this nationalism. Support your country and people with actions, not a bunch of fake ass gestures.

See, we can all have something in common, even if we disagree on everything else!

But if you don't applaud the MIC meatgrinder and support it's every pointless invasion you're not supporting the troops and you're being unpatriotic!

You have no idea of what you speak. I am a USNavy veteran. There are a lot of US Military actions with which I strongly disagreed, some for the way they were handled, some for the reason they were done, some for both. For one to support making our fighting forces cannon fodder for some fat cat's political or financial gain - regardless of to which party that fat cat belongs - is not supporting our troops. That's like saying that supporting abortion is being supportive of children.

The issue with CaddoPumma's claim that the "Children of Ishmael" is "a historically accurate designation which no Muslim would deny." isn't that it's racist on its face.
I described his use of it as euphemistic.
What CaddoPumma is doing is describing everyone of Muslim faith to be of homogeneous racial origin, and on behalf of all of Muslims, declaring that they would all accept and embrace this.

Describing people of a particular ideology/belief/faith as being of a singular ethnic origin is something I've only ever heard from ethnic rationalists - Those who argue that certain people are inferior because of their genetic origin. Think Hitler. Think literally every genocide ever. Think the racist guy down the street that drops the N word to you to see if you're cool with it, then starts talking about how people from Africa have smaller brains and/or lower IQs.

By calling all Muslims "Children of Ishmael" he's also put them into a very specific religious typecast.
Ishmael was the first born son of Abraham, Isaac was his second son. There are tons, and tons, of biblical wackjobs out there that use this to justify fighting over Israel and all that other crazy shit.
This is the kind of terminology associated with radical religious ideologues that enjoy subversively insinuating that others are somehow inferior.

There's good reason why we've moved on from correlations of race and ideas.
Race simply isn't relevant. By claiming that all Muslims are "Children of Ishmael," CaddoPuma has made this about race.
