We covered a lot of ground tonight with hardly any escaping cows ... :) ... we have finally grown fond of each other.

We partied Gunnar and Holy Smokes and head towards them, we passed some lovely places and later met two very helpful guys.
But first, the sights; :D

A beautiful island ...

Egypt .....

We stopped off for a swim at the beach .....

The Rockies .....

The swamp .....

Again we saw signs of life, strange carved runestones lay along our path and a very long road led away in the distance.

We found an abandoned field of pumpkins and took the opportunity to fill the cows trough up for the night.

Not long afterwards we met up with Gunnar who was out hunting, he rode with us for a short while. When he had left we met some new friends whilst trying to find a place to cross a river which almost encircled us and boxed us in, there is a bit more of a story and some pics but I'll let Em tell the story and post the rest of the pictures tomorrow. :)

After travelling down and meeting Gunner along the way, we travelled a little further with the help of Holy Smokes. As mentioned we reached an area close to a very large but weirdly laid out town, and starting speaking to a guy/girl there who was collecting some logs. As they were trying to help us get out of this circular area of rivers that we couldn't cross with a wagon, I suddenly d/c.

As you can imagine I've grown used to ending up back at a hf after travelling several hours!!! There was an obstruction in the way, and even though the wagon was moved, I was unable to log in where I had logged off...back to hearth fire I went.

It didn't take as long to head back to Amanda however, and along the way I found my first ever flotsam!

Before I got there, Holy smokes had reached Amanda to help her with the wagon and animals, where she'd set a small base.
It wasn't long befoe I caught up with them and as Amanda headed to bed, myself and holy smokes went further out closer to their home to set up our 4th base of our journey. As weekends beckon, and social lives which occasionally exist take over, we needed someone relatively safe to settle for a couple of days.

I left him to do the driving as I enjoyed the scenery- now I understand why I'm left driving...

The cows wee surprisingly well behaved...

Image

Along the way he decided to go bear hunting...after being ravaged by smaller animals, I felt sheepish at how quickly he managed to kill the damn bear:D

Image

Anyway, after a short while we managed to get to the town, and I settled the animals and wagon outside, built a little fence, set some drying racks, some leather on the go, my own hearthfire!! and some other bits and pieces for our short stay.

Along came a little wandering guest in his/her shiny little helmet...and although was nice, didn't want to kin me ;(

It's been an interesting evening, and it's been nice to see people along the journey :)

:D he didn't really get much of a choice...he asked why, since he'd heard my driving was great....I ignored the sarcasm ;)
