This is not a shit thread. I've been playing Haven and Hearth on-and-off since World 1 and I've been an avid supporter. It got so bad a few times... One time, it practically killed a relationship (No regrets, the megapalisade was worth it) and another time I told my boss, who was half-way up a ladder and holding a 30 litre tub of acid, trying to pass it down, to wait whilst I finished fighting a bear. I've had 4-hour long boat chases and met so many, many incredible players. But regretfully this is the end. I'm not going to go into the pro's and con's of P2P, as I'm pretty sure we established it all last night, but I'm not willing to pay the same price you get for top-end support and stability as for a new game with no call center or centre of administration. Not yet, anyway. Suffice to say, British stubborn principle of never paying subscription and all, I'd have rather paid a one-off $200 than get titty-suckers put on me. That said, I wish the best of luck to you Jorb and Loftar, I have nothing but respect for you, your determination and your game.
As such, instead, I'll continue to work on my own project (once I've sapped my gametime out of Haven and Hearth anyway, it's beautiful), and I implore anyone and anybody who I've ever got on with in-game, or forum-wise, and lost contact with to hit me up on Skype.
Farewell, it's been a hell of a ride.
