Alt abuse?

I have a question for those of you who play Hafen.

Is it useful to make alts to build/forage so that your main character's free hours aren't spent too quickly? Are alts worth it in this game?

When you can actually travel to wherever you settle it can be useful. The better question is if you'll be willing to travel that far so you can multitask. It probably wouldn't hurt to have alts but for all we know it has changed dramatically from what we do know.

Given that we have a mapping client now it should not be that hard.

Yes, alts are still a valuable resource. If you can meaningfully utilize their online time then you gain the benefit of essentially having an additional villager/friend.
