You guys think the run 3 ants are bad eh? I just found... well... they moved at run 4. Cliff didn't save me, and I had a big enough hive following that each one got a hit off and killed me outright from 94hhp.

RIP Minipig you'll be missed. Never thought that'd I'd be the one dying to ants XD Don't risk hills with more than 4 ants around them is the takeaway from this one.

As long as there are no sprinter ants, I have been successful in raiding them thus far. I don't chance it with the speed 3 or 4, that's just nuts!

Raiding anthills is a 2 person job now if you want to get away unscathed every time. Alternatively just fight the ants, grow stronger, and also get their delicious empresses.

Ants are pretty crucial to early game since their larva/pupae are amazing baits for int tools. Not to mention LP. It's pretty easy to get the hang of it so long as you avoid fast hills (it was darkish and I didn't see the sprinting ants under the trees ><)

But never raiding multiple hills in a row or a hill with more than 4 ants again T-T

pretty much what happened to me. knocked me out then stuck around for when I woke up and got the job done:D

I got a boat now so do it that way but still you have to drag them so far away so u can go raid the damn hill before they get back because even in a boat they cause damage.

even boars don't attack as violently as ants!!!

Which is why I boat around & only raid coastal anthills. I learned, not completely like you, that we can't trust hills. It is possible to raid unharmed every time solo though; just need a boat for when shit goes bad.
