There are swamps, but they do seem to be quite scarce from what I've explored so far.

There are lots and they're pretty big around the world but we were only able to find a single small swamp near the starting location.

there are swamps

all I have seen is dragonflys but my perception is 19 and my exploration is 5 so there's definitely more there

Just head north, me and my friend traveled north for a while and then we just began to find swamp after swamp

Chiming Bluebells, lady mantles, dewy lady mantles, and god awful many frogs and toads too.
