Am I really this unlucky?

Postby Tetzer » Wed Sep 02, 2015 1:59 pm

So I have been wandering around for a total of about six hours in various biomes with a bow, arrows, and a hatchet, and I cant for the life of me find a deer to kill. A few days ago I was seeing them almost all the time, and now its like they went extinct. Is anyone else experiencing this, or am I really just this unlucky?

You sure you're in biomes that spawn deer? I've seen vast expanses of areas that don't have any deer spawn chance. I seem them semi-regularly when exploring pine forest biomes for example.

Yes, because previously all these areas that I passed through had plentiful deer running around, and now I just cant find a single one. Ive tried just walking off and exploring further and further away and still nothing. I have seen a ridiculous amount of Badgers, Bears, Sheep, Cows, Ants, Foxes, Boars, Rats, Frogs, Toads, Chickens, but deer are just too elusive for me apparently.
