You can get away with gradients of -/+3, not sure about 4+! Over on the right side you can see it stepping down pretty vigorously, that's my -3.

The left side is mostly underground haha.

Stone is too valuable in Hafen Legends say only few have acces to it whenever they want.

I guess having your palisades fall apart is better than using stone.

you never show a picture of your base especially in its current state don't be surprised if somebody breaks in it in the next three days or sooner

I have my walls giong up and down in a wave like formation. over the hills. I think the limit is +/- 3 ticks.
