Just my little take on the new world.

"Follow The Summer." she whispered the words from the depths of her soul, scattered to the wind.
From the four corners of the world came kith and kin, drawn by the sound of her voice on the breeze.

From the forests came life.

From the forests came death. The animals that sustained them drew sustenance from them in turn, as all knew it should be.

From wilderness came a home, from one home came many, the pale green glow of the fires of their souls chasing away the darkness of the world. From many homes came a village. Beneath it all, the deep dream pulses, the heartbeat of the land. Autumn, they called her. The name she had known since she sprang from the earth, an explorer, a huntress, one who felt the deep dream within every fiber of her body, as they all did. Every breath, every beat of their heart, in tune with the world around them.

All things must come to an end, and so it was that the world they once called home has faded into memory. But here she stands, as do many others, on unfamiliar shores.
A new world. A new chance to hunt, to live, to build, to die.

"Follow The Summer." she whispers to the wind, gazing up to the stars as she readies herself to explore this strange new land.

Will kith and kin answer as they did before?

Only time will tell.

Thank you! I was really nervous about posting any of my writing for public viewing, but my friends told me I should. ^^

Without trying to kill you with compliments, it made me feel like I was standing beside you on unfamiliar shores, missing our old homes. Reading it brought sadness, nostalgia, and a breath of freshness for what is to come. You should really consider posting your writing more often.

Dang, no joke, this gave me chills for a good minute during reading and after.

I love the flavor text in-game but this is a whole other level -- Kudos.

This was really the feeling I was trying to create, so I'm very pleased to know I succeeded! I was never a super involved endgame player of haven 1.0, but I played for a few months, and I loved every bit of it. The way the game is made inspires such grand stories to evolve and write themselves in the actions of the players, it's impossible to NOT feel some amount of nostalgia looking back. At least, as far as I'm concerned. With the risk that we could have lost it all, everything we did felt so very meaningful... And now we've got a new chance to do it all again, in an unknown, yet familiar land. :)
