Question for Jorbtar regarding fate curios

Postby nytro » Tue Sep 15, 2015 4:39 pm

Personally I like the new fate system, whenever I found a bluebell in haven, I always got excited. Now (hopefully) when I find them there will be much more of a rewarding feeling to it.

My main question to Jorbtar is this: In this world my character has found an edel once, and from the current talk on the forums it seems that means I am fated for that specific curio (may or may not be true). What I would really like to know is, would my character ever have the chance (in any way) of finding my beloved bluebells in the near/far future? Or will I only ever be able to find them in my dreams? ;-;

Jorb has already denied this particular rumour. Current "word on the street" is that your chance of finding a rare drops sharply after you find one and slowly recovers over IRL time.

Still just speculation.

Edit: =O loftar beat me to the denying!

It would be a direct contradiction to the system's purpose of preventing mass-farming an area like a mountain or swamp for curios. If anything, your chances of finding a different fate curiosity should go up after finding an edelweiss.

That idea is getting fucked up by the cruel reality when some guys find bluebells every 24hrs and a lot of others (like me) didnt found anything yet.

I have never found a bluebell and I've been checking multiple swamps every day since launch

I found a pearl , now after boiling 20 cupboards of mussels and get nothing i don't feel any rewarding.
Hate this system , roaming mountains everyday for 3-5 times , and got NOTHING.....

I'm pretty sure this system is explicitly in place to discourage roaming mountains for days for rare curios. Go do other things that aren't roaming mountains for days.
