Mining without yield

Postby sorvolge » Tue Sep 15, 2015 8:14 pm

I have been cave mining, with an stone axe, and while I successfully can mine the walls, I have yet to even get a single stone from anywhere. (must have mined atleast 20 or 30 different walls, some to completion, nothing)

am I missing something?

The initial cave wall never gives stone. You have to mine that tile out, and then mine the coloured tiles that open up behind it.

You're not getting stone from those revealed tiles?

This is not the case. I have found rock from a cave wall without it breaking through. I will hit it with pick and it will give me a stone and change colour to relevant stone..

There's the occasional display bug that causes walls to get the cave wall image. Also the rock curios (cat gold, seashell, crystal) do come from cave walls.
