About the ingame music

Postby Smoopadoop » Mon Sep 21, 2015 2:43 am

Aside from the songs that were in legacy haven, is this game's bgm original? Or did you buy the rights to the music from elsewhere. Especially those 2 chanting songs, if they weren't bought, is that Jorb and Lorb singing? :^)

Also please reimplement resting.midi in some way, shape or form. It is the best.

One of the chants partially reminds me of the Skolion of Seikilos. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seikilos_epitaph

is it just me or is the music way too quiet and fleeting? it starts up then I open up my study report and it suddenly stops. I never get to listen to even a semblance of a whole tracks just lots of 10 second clips.

I think there should be more full songs too!
For a while, I've had an idea that various things should effect hidden "atmosphere" counters, which would make certain songs play.
For example, meet an unknown person with a bearcape and a weapon? The "fear" atmosphere counter ticks up, giving more chance for spooky songs to play.
Return to an owned claim, or see someone you know? The "comfy" atmosphere ticks up, and appropriate songs play.

Soundsgud?

That's exactly what the flavor objects* do, sneak up to you and whisper 10 second jingles in your ear.

* When you disable them in custom clients, all the ambient sounds top.

Not just you, I noticed that too. Would be nice to hear louder/longer songs.

Theres this one, short track. It last only a couple of seconds, but everytime I hear it, it brings me a weird feeling of nostalgia.

I would love to hear longer version of this tune.

exactly what I hear sounds impressive but its so short/quiet that I'd actually rather turn it off completely.
