Has anyone tried to do a village like Edoras?

Using mountains and large cliffs to do multi-level village like Edoras or Minas Tirith with the Great Hall on the top.
When I'll develop my character and will be bored Im going build a village like this. In the starting zone for hermits ofc xD

Maybe one day we will see a New Brodgar that actually incorporates the Ring of Brodgar somewhere in their overall plan

I didn't build a whole village/city based on Edoras, but I did draw inspiration from its walls to build my palisade :)

If they settle a village on the ring, I'd hope that town would be just "Brodgar".

Have fun. Spent almost 3 days relentleslly digging a relatively large area with naught but a metal shovel. Not a job for humans. You want to raise a stone clad hill? All the time left in the world to you, then.

They need to give us another skill to increase digging. Like dig 2x faster... until then you would have to be a little insane to make anything huge and masterpeice :P

Yes that's why I thought about using real, already existing cliffs

That could have been a good idea, but mountains can't be chiseled by hearthpeople, and them cliffs will never conveniently be arranged to easily create a multi-leveled village. Maybe 2 levels if you're lucky, but still with elbow grease to spare.
