In real life, likely handing out candy to people. Online, well been parting in a themed room all month, and on a Face Book game been beating up Halloween based spaceships lol.

halloween here is all about expats and foreign students having their own parties, while shops, english schools and amusement parks see it as another new business opportunity, spamming with pumpkin or witch themed products everywhere, targeting kids and families when most of us here know nothing what it is about.

(we have our own season for dead spirits in summer.)

Halloween here is just a poor attempt for lame marketing ideas trying to sell some more useless products. There is just no background for this holiday outside of the US, and I hate it to see it forced upon us. What next, should we celebrate thanksgiving just because it sells? We have a day of the dead that by chance happends to be around Halloween, buf it's a day where everyone visists the graves of the passed ones and mourns. Clubs try to come up with masked parties during Hallowen, to attract the students, but to me the benefit of adult life is that I can get shitface-drunk and pretend I'm someone else every day of the year.

I find this quite amusing for a time that has its origins in England. Of course the US version has a bit of the Mexican Day of the Dead mixed in. If your celebrating it right its a time to have fun dress up be scared and let loose for a night. its not complicated and certainly not cultural colonialism. :)

So let loose and have fun.

In Australia there are a lot of people offended that Halloween has been introduced. Honestly, I took my kids trick or treating for the first time ever last year, and we all loved it. If you don't want to celebrate, then don't. Nobody else cares. But the social media tantrums because somebody else is having fun annoy me.
