influential people in the community

I wonder who people think are the top 5 most influential people in the HnH community.

my own picks would be

burgingham
Oddity

These 2 guys seem to know it all when it comes to this game, and have the most info before anyone else and most experience.

Robben_DuMarsch
jordancoles

Both faction leaders, very well known in the moot community, ones for raiding the other for peace. They bring the drama but also keep the forums alive when it seems empty at times.

the 5th spot has to go to
Sevenless
The dude wrote the guide a lot of noobs read now a days. He brings a very positive experience to new players.

Russians outnumber everyone else ingame by a very large margin yet they have a small forum presence here. The forum is not the entire game.

Oddity told me about this thread before you posted it :)

loftar
i think loftar is a bretty influential guy, eh programs the entire game and doesnt afraid of anything

EnderWiggin
Always hosting the client of the day. Replaced Gilbertus (and Potjeh's?) clients near the end of W3, and I never stopped using his client to the very end of legacy Haven. Who hasn't used Ender's? (I think even his Salem client was popular)

Alg
Hosting world maps for most of the worlds since like W4

Avu
Pointing out the various flaws of the game from the humble beginning to the bitter end

sabinati
IRC mod and now forum mod for a while. I think he was a trader and stuff. He's also hosted alg's world map for him n' shit IIRC. GoonLyfe

zacatack45 and jadamkaz
Those wacky Mineville kids from W3, hehehe ^___^

Koya
Leader of the Gr8 Russian zergs who always get up to shenanigans while he's at work and couldn't have had anything to do with it

DDDsDD999
Wrote the great Odditheater productions

jorb
I think he had something to with development at some point, didn't he? 8-)

I think influential would depend on what you deem to be important in this game.

I think people like Lady goo have always been influential in this game. Large faction leaders and active players also, which change over time. People who post frequently are not necessarily influential, but some are, like as mentioned Coles. The mods obviously have some influence. You will find each world new people will come out, mostly traders like Ramones but new ones who may have higher quality resources etc.

I think Oddity is the #1 most influential person in this game. I wish he would share more about himself with us because I would personally like to dress myself in his image, eat like him and live my life more like him too.

Spots 2, 3 and 4 all go to the highly influential spawningmink for his endless constructive and meaningful contributions to just about every important topic in this entire forum. Without his presence on this website and in this game I feel like we'd all be a little bit more lost.

Last, and least, I think Jorb and Loftar are tied for #5. While they are ultimately expendable I figure it's worth mentioning them since they atleast try.

Some of my favourites were/are Valten, Nao, Ramones, Troll, WarpedWiseman and Sevenless

I'm sure there are more, and most aren't really active anymore, but they were the first to come to mind when I think back to before I was King-Shit around here ¦]

Hmm, it's hard to define influential as it depends on your perspective, as Em says LadyGoo and Koya have both been influential to the game as the faces of the big factions, Loftar and Jorb as it's their game, I adore Jordan but I don't really see him as being influential, lol, just a big forum presence, idk, maybe that counts as influential .... yeah ok, I'm going to include Tonky later so yeah, you're in Jordan ..... :D

I also agree Sabi has been influential simply because he is probably, or used to be, the most popular of the mods among the majority of the players, 'down with the kids' and all that .... 8-) .... but all mods are influential to some extent.

Then there are those who contribute to the forum and to our game, such as Enders, Borka, MagicMan, Teck -(where is Teck btw?) - Tonky, Oddity, Daji, Sevenless, Ramones ... actually you could go on and on as these change over the course of time. We now have romovs for example, making a big impact with his Amber client.

You would have to include the noteworthy fighters as well, such as Nao, Troll, Davis, Muldor ... and many others who are perhaps not quite as vocal.

Anyway, that's a lot more than five and I can't prioritize them, so that will do ... I keep worrying I've left someone important out ...

I think there are many influential people. I also think it depends on what influence your asking about. I've met or talked to so many with influence. Most are rather nice and helpful. I have a personal list I would say but that's just my view. :)
