VISITOR UPDATE: How has your Haven life changed?

Postby LadyGoo » Fri Nov 13, 2015 4:37 pm

I think we should share how the update has changed our gameplay in haven after the update, in order to give devs bigger picture of how the world is changing.

I have seen some small-size palisade villages leaving their outer gates open, but the main area would remain locked. My villager are still locking their gates since J&Lo have mentioned there might be bugs. So I guess everyone are just waiting for someone unlucky enough to become the first victim.
No-one I know is planning to build any social space/trading ports yet.

What has changed for you?

I am certainly very curious about this.

Nothing has changed so far for me as per quoted reason, but I do think some people will be working on public areas that they will let players in to while their other areas still remain closed off. We kind of need barter stands or something to actually make it worthwhile though.

For me it hasn't affected anything directly, making gates special allowed them to fix a Trojan Wagon bug I reported which would have been much more serious and surprising following this update..

I would obviously like to make an open city but don't have enough manpower or time.

HLTU only notice a few bug/expoits. already reported to jorb.
We have left our gates open a number of times now.

the biggest issuse we've come up with is the bear ramming. Bringing a bear around the city to smash everything in it.
the only fix I can see to this is animle not being able to smash things when they them selfs have entered thought a door
WARNING! MY ENGISH SUCKS.

Are there even enough people to build such a place? All the villages I know are struggling with their own upkeep due to not many people playing, and the spy fuckery doesn't help with recruitment either. I would be surprised if someone has time and manpower to spare for that.
If anyone wants to build a proper trade area I'd be willing to help in some way, and I could probably bring a few others too.

Else nothing has changed for me. It's still weekday though.

For now the gates are closed. Like everybody watching how it will unfold.

But I would love to visit some towns, especially big ones.
