Deepest condolence to the victims of terrorism

Postby Tonkyhonk » Sun Nov 15, 2015 12:16 am

trying to send my deepest sympathy to the victims and all the friends and families of theirs in france, and everywhere in the world.

i often say you are responsible for what your village members do IN GAME, but this is not the case in real life.
may every tear and sorrow be known and noted and lead the deceased souls to reach where they wished or believed. rest in peace.

*edit* changed the title

While it's sad that some 120 lives have been wasted, there are sadder things:

http://www.wfp.org/hunger/stats
~330 humans die of hunger every hour, every day.
Constantly. Predictably. Needlessly.

Just because they're usually brown and live in countries we just ignore or plunder, we don't care - at all.
And that are just the ones that die of hunger. The ones suffering from the conflicts we as the rich countries sparked, or fuel through weapon deliveries or even direct bombings of civilians, count extra.

So please excuse me if i'm not that moved by what happened in france, even when it's sad.

Here in Paris people are sad but they are not afraid or angry, the streets are as usual, only the tourists are closed in there room afraid of going out.

ive lived in a developing country for years and i understand that sentiment. that said, its quite different when some lives were suddenly robbed away due to some faith of a certain group of people.

I'd like to join you in that too Tonky, these are difficult times and the threats are not over.
My deepest condolences to the families of the victims and the people of France, may the victims rest in eternal peace.

@ simmi - we were the same, you can't let these attacks control how you live or make you afraid to live.

@ Granger - the loss of any human lives be it through war, terrorism, famine or natural disaster is tragic, and I do care, we are all human beings in my eyes.

The day I give a shit about some french fucks, is the day massive numbers of children stop dying of starvation in developing countries.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

thanks simimi and amanda for participating. i do understand the point granger made or where he is coming from. i dont usually make this kind of thread, but i found this topic kinda relevant to haven gaming, and also, just in case haven players in france are affected. (it was rather nice to see a similar thread popping up after fukushima, when some people in our chat channel were actually affected by the disaster.) and those starving kids or their parents are not coming to this forums reading other players having fun, and i dont find it relevant, and i would certainly post about it elsewhere if i wanted to.

I just find it hypocritical thats all.
The news people like fox, are having a field day. They lovvvvvve when stuff like this happens, because they get to report it, but do we ever see them reporting
the 3.1 million children under 5 years old that died last year from not getting enough to eat? No... because that's depressing.
But when 100 rich french fucks get killed, it's a big deal.
