As far as we can tell~ spears have less dmg then bows. but spears can load faster and seem to be more accurate.
dmg with spear still seems to be capped by how long you load the spear.

But I pretty much fked my village mate armor up when i throw my spear at him  ¦]

Around 207-230 dmg with a 93 sub spear and like 110 dmg with a 38ish sub spear

Aiming used to be fast as fuck but I haven't tested since Loftar changed it, but they're likely not as cool now

You can't chop with them either

Bows have 80 base damage

Stone arrows have 80 base damage

Bone arrows have 100 base damage

Spears have 80 base damage

For archery purposes, anyways.

The damage modifier that the spear will deal when thrown is the (Percentofaimbarfilled)^2)/10,000

Their IEMM multiplier for vitality is higher than bows/arrows, thus aim faster and with a bigger maximum aim cap.

For archery purposes it seems better to stick with a bow :(
