A Question for J&L

Postby Ct » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:55 pm

I was wandering if the thought of ever putting this game on steam was discussed? I know that there are some drawbacks to doing so, however the player base would increase even more to some extent, and the community would change dramatically.
For example, Tera, an online mmo got added to steam on May 4th, 2015, the player count jumped a crazy amount, however it did die down. They managed to keep 5000 players out of the jump in May. I know that a tutorial will probably have to be put in,but I think it would be a good move. I would like everyone's opinion on this!

Yes, it was ever discussed maybe 10000000 times.
We can probably lock this thread now.

Maybe make megathread so people like OP stop making these threads

@ Ct - the best thing to do before making a suggestion or bringing up a topic to discuss is to use the search function at the top of the page. A lot of things have been discussed to death here over the years as I'm sure you can imagine. :)

it would propably cause a big boom of new player which of 75% would leave due to the game being 2 hard at the beggining ( no stones in starting area!!)

(but still more than enough would stay :ugeek: )

I'm sure for now Loftar and Jorb would rather spend their time trying to make a damn good game than worrying about player numbers x]. I'm sure once they are satisfied with the content they might reach out more to players.

It's alright. One oftenly asked question for many games are if it is going to be on steam. Usually you can get answers just searching on it in their respective forums, not to mention (I feel) that the game isn't really ready for full public especially considering how difficult for newbies to even get started in its current state.
