iwe been playing wurm, xsyon and mostly SALEM alot and then i heard about this game. I stoped playing salem since they original devs droped the game, i dont like the inspiration system,
i was woundering how is heaven and heart compared to Salem and how is the game in general? alot of people playing? same permadeath system? easy to lose all your items to people that have 600+ stats and 3 hit break walls?
also how is it compared to skills? can u master everything or u have to focus on 1-2 skills like farming and trade for rest of the materials? i saw a few videos but im still woundering if i should get into H&H.
Also i saw it has a sub/buy model, im also woundering how are free, paid and subed players balanced out? if ur free vs subed how are ur chances?
ty.
Salem was based pretty heavily on haven. I much prefer haven though.
Check out this link for how many players are playing at any given time. The salem counter is ambiguous as fuck so it's tough to compare, but I'd say haven is more active, at least at the moment.
You're likely to permadie at some point, but the current inheritance mechanics mean you inherit 30% of your stats when you die, an additional 20% if you bury the body, and another 10% if you bury the skull. Ultimately you can recover 60% of your stats if you can recover your body for a burial. Player stats are capped at 300-330 based on if they're a free player or sub. As such, you can't currently bash walls in the course of an hour.
In skills, it's pretty easy to get all of them except the two end tier ones, Deep Artifice and Druidic Rites which mostly just increase your output a bit. The big thing is the incrementable skills. Most people run multiple characters to be capable of multiple things.
I wouldn't worry about the increase in stat gain from subbing, you're going to make more mistakes in stat raising because you're a new player than the sub is going to affect. You don't really need a sub to play.
